Email Teardown Checklist
Ten checkpoints to run any single email, or a full flow, against before it sends. The same judgment calls we use to audit a client account, in one printable page.
What is inside
Ten checkpoints, one per flow or decision most stores get wrong. Each one is a pass/fail question, not a design tip:
- Welcome. Does the first email segment, or just greet?
- Abandoned cart. Does it answer an objection, or just remind?
- Post-purchase. Does the receipt do more than confirm?
- Win-back. Does it re-earn attention before asking for anything?
- Subject line. Does it do one job, or three?
Plus popups, segmentation, message match, deliverability, and testing. Ten in total.
How to use it
Print it, or keep the PDF open next to the email you are about to send. Run it against all ten questions before you hit schedule.
Format
One page, printable, no sign-up walls inside the file itself.
Who it is for
- Founders who write their own Klaviyo and want a fast, honest read before sending
- Email leads doing a quarterly audit of the whole flow library
- Anyone who wants the checklist we actually use, not a generic best-practices list
What it will not do
It will not tell you your open rate is fine because a template says so. It will not replace a real audit of your account. It is the ten questions we ask before we trust an email is doing its job.
